startsocial is a nationwide contest promoting volunteer work under the patronage of chancellor Angela Merkel. Under the motto “Help for the helpers”, every year startsocial grants 100 four-month consulting scholarships and monetary prizes to outstanding social initiatives.

startsocial promotes social commitment by enabling knowledge transfer between the economy and social initiatives. A successful participation by now is seen as a quality seal of excellent social commitment. The Autism-Research-Cooperation was able to win the jury’s approval.

So, from November on, the AFK will receive advice and guidance from experts from the economic, public and non-profit-sector, and continue its development. Detailed feedbacks, personal consultations, opportunities for further professionalization and a variety of new contacts will help generating new projects and optimize existing projects. We are happy to have been awarded this grant and look forward to the coming collaboration.
